beers and other stuff

thanks loads to everyone that made it to the release show last night, we really appreciate that so many people turned up and had fun!
thanks especially to the computers and the groundnuts, who both killed it. thanks to owen, kerry and amy for making sure everything ran smoothly, stu for snapping photos and dave for filming.
(we should be getting the photos off stu by the weekend, i will upload them as and when.)

so, we are really happy to let people know that this has happened...

"We are very excited to announce that THE ARTERIES from Swansea have joined Household Name Records and will be releasing a new album in the very near future....

THE ARTERIES have been impressing us through most of 2008 with stunning live shows - we put them on opening one of the first Staying South nights back in the Spring as a pretty much unknown quantity - less than 25 minutes later everyone was buzzing from their set and begging us to put them on again at the soonest opportunity.

Fast, punchy melodic, metallic gathering up the finest mid 90s Epi-Fat sound of Propagandhi with a twist of bang up to date riffery, we had the guys booked back on the spot and every time they took the audience by storm.

Added to that the band have a great do it yourself ethic - this year they have embarked on a series of three 10" vinyl releases called 'Blood', 'Sweat' and 'Beers' which have been combined with sold out launch parties in Swansea. The final record of the series 'Beers' is launched tomorrrow (Sunday 26th October) at The Monkey Bar.

Household Name Records have worked with THE ARTERIES to put together a CD album based on tracks from all 3 releases...called Blood, Sweat and Beers (HAUS104CD) which will be out at the end of November in time for The Arteries dates with SMOKE OR FIRE....it will be in the shops from January 2009....
but in keeping with THE ARTERIES tradition of launch parties a very limited special edition of 'Blood, Sweat and Beers' CD will be available only at THE ARTERIES Xmas Show/Album Launch at The Monkey Bar on 21st December.

Mike Davies' at the Radio 1 Punk Show played an exclusive new track on his show this week and seemed very impressed....I hope you will be hearing more of The Arteries across the airwaves as they have just recorded a session for Radio Wales"
