stuff...

We are doing a bunch of shows next week, go to our myspace page to see the details, the first show is in Brixton at the windmill, it's on Tuesday, the last show is in Cardiff at Welsh club with our friends, Portraits and Harbour, it's on Friday and the ones in between are in Brighton and Exeter.

The mini tour that we played the week before last was a blast!
Many MANY thanks to everyone that put us on and all the great bands and people that we got to spend time with, especially; BANGERS, ABOVE THEM the Portsmouth dudes, Dave, Mike, THE CUT UPS and THE COMPUTERS!

We played a show with BANGERS in our friend Steve 'microphonehead' s flat in Kinston the morning after the show in London, it was loads of fun (thanks Steve!) somehow it didn't get shut down. we played a bunch of covers and a bunch of our own songs, as did BANGERS, at one point Rhys, Roo and I sort of played a cover of 'Six Pack' by BLACK FLAG - Roo learnt it in the toilet moments before...

A bunch of photos were taken but i don't know who took them, if i get my hands on any i will upload them. Our friend Kerry filmed some of it on her sexy new iphone - here is some of the footage;

'3 Cats, Sunday afternoon bedroom show 21.06.09'

'Hope (DESCENDENTS cover) Sunday afternoon bedroom show 21.06.09

We are running pretty dam low on copies of the 'Sweat' and 'Beers' 10"s and are totally out of 'Blood's. Recently we printed up the last bunch of 'Beers' in LTD. edition pink, get 'em while they're hot!!!

i think we are going to do some new shirts soon too...

beer beer everywhere, but not a drop to drink!

we just had our second band practice in our new top secret location - it was pretty cool! we now kinda have 3 new songs kinda fully finished and the are FUN to play!

i guess that these three songs will be the songs that go on our forthcoming 7", who knows?
jenks is in bristol revising for science so he has no idea how to play them. if he comes home in time to nail them then i reckon we will play them at the lemuria show in sigma on june 1oth.

i just found this little video that i made up from a bunch of footage from a few european shows that we played in spring '08 that i had forgotten about.

check it out;

this is what's up...

we had a blast in bristol on saturday, we played at the fiddler's with propagandhi who were awesome!

we aren't playing any shows 'til june because we are all busy doing other shit;
jenks and miles who have pretty heavy scientific commitments, rhys is working loads, and me and tim are swamped in uni. even though this is the case, we are doing our best to get together and write a bunch of new songs. hopefully we can get some nailed and record them in july . if that happens we will then put out a split 7", oh baby!

we are playing a bunch of cool shows in june and are currently getting some more confirmed, check out our myspace page for the dates.
see you then i guess...

a cat just like that, or a flower for your hat

we have a new van, and it's rad becuase it's great on diesel consumption, doesn't smell bad and is reliable. but one thing that REALLY sucked about parting with our old van was saying bye to all the stickers that we had stuck on it, what a shame...

oh well, its time to sticker up the new van i guess!
we had practice last night and afterwards sarah cooked us a lovely chilli - that was awesome (thanks sarah!)

we were supposed to play a show at our practice room last night but the man came and shut it down in the day - lame!

we just played at the park in peterborough and are about to hit the hay.

plymouth last week

we played plymouth last week, it was fun apart from the fact that our brand new van broke down as we were leaving!
on the way there we stopped in buckfast and went to buckfast abby to buy some tonic wine

miles usually never buys anything but that day he bought a fancy chocolate bar for £2.50 - it must have been the monk sweat in the air!
we also stopped at the otter and butterfly sanctuary, it turns out that buckfast is a pretty happening place. the sanctuary was closed but it didn't matter because you could see the little buggers over and under the fence.
one of them came right up and stuck his little face through the gap, he even gave me a low ten;

jenks was scared of the otters!

our friend shelley bones did a write up of the show and posted it on her blog...

Tuesday, 10 March 2009

we have a few posters left...

we have a very small amout of arteries/computers screen printed posters left. if you would like to own one you can purchase one here for £3.50 inc. p+p

also, i forgot to mention that gary has converted his foot into a blood sweat and beers homage - cheers dude!

punk show and posters

if you missed the radio one punk show with mike davies this morning you can listen again using the bbc iplayer here. mike played the maida vales session 'stop today' recording that we layed down for him last month. you can also listen to myself, miles and tim geeking out about the descendents, declaring love for the cut ups and talking DC...

we are playing a bunch of shows with the computers this week, starting tomorrow at the white rabbit in plymouth.

rhys screen printed 30 ltd edition posters this evening which will be available at the shows. to check the date/venue details visit our myspace page here...

a small tour with our friends in the computers...

right now we are vanless because ours has finally bitten the dust and we can't afford to fix it, we are going on tour next week, it looks like we will be walking!

we are going to screen print a limited amount of these posters - they will be available at the shows for a small fee...

same goes for this poster on the static radio tour a few weeks later...

friday was awesome, saturday sucked!

DOWN FOR LIFE!

on friday a group of us spent the day at the studio seven tattoo shop getting arteries tattoos from ash and neil, it was a really good day, 16 people bit the bullet and there are more to follow this week (i think.)

*insert small dick caption here*

it was a blast hanging out with our friends and watching jump of a building and ghost busters on repeat!

We were supposed to play infest II in peterborough on saturday night but we didn't make it on account of van trouble which really sucked! we were really looking forward to the show and to hanging out with our friend shaun who was putting the whole thing on.
the fucking van did the same thin that it did on the way to maida vale the other week, even though we had it fixed last week, gutted!

we had to turn around and head home, to make sure that we didn't cook the engine we had to put water in every 2 miles. after doing that about 3 times we pulled over and waiting to get towed by the AA, it was a real shame.

on a lighter note - our maida vale session is being aired in the early hours of tomorrow morning on radio one's punk show with mike davies. if you miss it, be sure to listen again using the iplayer.

here is a cool video of jenks for your viewing pleasure;

ICE ROAD TRUCKERS

this is what went down on our trip to london last week;

we had trouble with our van on the way to bristol so when we stopped to get jenks we called the RAC. they arrived with two options;
1. we can tow you home
2. we can tow you to london
so we got towed to exeter!

when we got to exeter nic from the computers was kind enough to let us borrow their van (thanks nic!)

as soon as we got back on course to london it started snowing really heavily. the A road that we were on looked like this;

we barely got out of second gear and at one point we skidded round a corner and almost landed the van in a big ol' ditch!
miles didn't really get any photos of the cool shit like that because he was too busy fearing for his life. oh well, i'm pretty sure that this photo of a skid mark is related...

the M3 looked like this;

you couldn't see any defining lines between the hard shoulder and the central resivation so we just went slow and stayed in lorry tracks. we left swansea at 3:30 pm and arrived in london at 5:00am!

after all that driving and 2 hours sleep the police stopped us when we were trying to park outside maida vale for having a picture of a dick on the back of the van. go catch some bad guys you lazy cops!

they laughed at jenks for being the only bad guy with stuff on his record!

we were in and out of the studio, it was a really impressive place and a good oppertunity for free coffee.

we wrote our name right next to orange goblin's in the lift. together 4 eva.

the drive back to exter was going fine, we were making good time and it looked like we would make it to the cavern to catch the cut ups at their release show, which we were really excited about! but when we got about 30 miles away this happened...

we were stuck.
there were a thousand idiots skidding around in our way and it looked like we were gunna have to camp out in the van. gutted!
the van looked like this;

and we had to do a whole lot of this;

with no lack of determination we finally made it. we left london at 6:00pm and got to exeter at 4:00am holy smokes!

check this out too;

kerrang

we had one of those introducing pages in kerrang this week. you can check it out here (click it to read it) ;

they took the photo back in december at the venue we were playing in brighton on the dead city stereo tour. they were cool people, they bought us beers and even stuck around for the show!

miles has all the ice road truckers photos and probably has some from maida vale too, i will upload any good ones as and when he emails them to me. after we had recorded and mixed the songs on thursday we had to do an interview over the phone with mike davies in LA.
that kind of stuff seems to be a bit painful for us. at one point he asked about which bands we are into in the uk, crumbling under the pressure wiped us out. stupidly, we didn't mention a whole bunch of bands that we really should have.

so this is an attemp of redeeming that...

photos and stories coming soon, right now we have to fix the van!

p.s. the maida vale session that we recorded went well

A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE!

HOLY SHIT, we found our merch - AWESOME!

The beautiful bar man at the new cross inn spotted it across the road when he was locking up and put it safely inside. A massive thanks to him and Chris polite riot for helping us chase it up and recover it - THANKS!

pugs said that miracles happen at christmas...

we played with shaped by fate last night in cardiff, the show was really good, it was great to see a load of our friends in one place. solutions were the best i have seen them and shaped by fate were insanely intense!

our friend Kayla showed us a book that she had made recently. she used some lyrics from our song 'Divergence' for a double page spread, the book looked great!

Monday, 15 December 2008

so bummed!

last night in london we left our box of merch on the pavement outside the van - then drove off.

we played at the new cross inn, if anyone has any info on where the box could be now PLEASE get in touch!
the box was full of stuff that is really important to us;

loads of copies of our brand new album, loads of copies of the 'beers' 10" all of our shirts and the last ever copies of the 'blood' 10"

we are really gutted that we left it behind, if you live anywhere near that area please spread the word. it a big, heavy beaten up cardboard box...

2 mini tours and police stories

we played the Household Name Xmas show last sunday in brixton, it was fun - The Cut Ups were AMAZING!
we stopped by Lil and Katherine's house on the way to pick up copies of our new album and meet his cats, that was cool.
Pugs had stuff to do in the morning so he couldn't come up with us, he managed to make the show in the end though which was cool, he brought this little drawing with him too...

it took us a good while to get home. it was about quarter to four, we were almost at rhys' house then all of a sudden we were getting pulled over by an unmarked police car. it turns out i was doing 61 in a 30 zone, oops.
so anyway, im sitting there thinking, 'that's it, i'm fucked you get your license taken off you if you double the speed limit.'
the police man took me into his car and asked me a bunch of questions, he was actually pretty cool which was a suprise. somehow i just got let off with a warning - sweet!
he even gave me this pretty note for the blog...

what a nice young man.

we are doing 2 mini tours with The Dead City Stereo leading up the the album release show. here is a poster with the dates on;

come to the shows and say hi!
one show that is not on it is the SBF xmas show, it's at cardiff barf lie on maonday - come to that too!

that's all for now...

smoke problems tour

last week we were on tour with two really amazing bands; smoke or fire and fake problems.
here is some shit that went down... (documented by my shitty camera phone and shitty memory)

the first show was at the windmill in brixton, pugs came with us so that was cool. we stopped at a garage just outside swansea to pump up the tyres, we got back in the van to set off but it wouldn't start. luckily pugs added just enough muscle to the rhys, miles and tim cocktail to build up enough momentum to bump start it

we hit a shit load of traffic on our way into bristol (to pick up jenks) becuase some lorry driver had managed to flip his lorry at the junction for the m32, how considerate of him. we hit all the same traffic getting back onto the m4 so that was nice.
from that point onwards 'traffic' was the name of the game, it took fucking forever to get to the windmill, something along the lines of 7 hours - it should usually take about 4!
because we were so late getting there we literally had to get out of the van and play straight away. this felt a bit weird. for the first couple of songs we were all pretty spaced out and nothing sounded right but about 3 songs in it started going good and was fun.

hussy from attack! vipers! came to the show, while we were playing him and pugs made cock and ball style masks out of arteries and atom bomb stickers, that was cool...

punktastic reviwed the show and gave us a 9/10! check it out here.

the next show that we played was in norwich,
guess what? norwich is really fucking far away! this drive also took the best part of 7 hours, it would have been less but the traffic was shitty by birmingham.

greg and jugs did a great job with the food and beer (thanks guys) at the show so it was well worth the drive. we also had a cool description on the flyer;

it was a good time, the people were friendly and everyone seemed to have fun. after the show jugs took us to some really weird club, we didn't stay long, it was weird, seriously.
oh yeah, some guy was getting his face split open by bouncers when we were leaving - man, i hate bouncers!

the next moring we left for leeds. we had to pull over to fill the van up with vegitable oil, it runs cheaper than disel and it's a good way to stick it to the man. we did that right next to some horses which was nice ;)

the drive took a far while but it was mainly our fault, we kept stopping for stuff like this...

and this...

the leeds show was cool, there were a load of people there and some of them were our friends which was really nice. i cut my finger open during our set and covered my bass in blood, it looked cool, the only down side was that derek from fake problems was planning on using it after me and i thought it would gross him out. it turns out that he didn't give a shit, at one point during their set he even licked his fingers... nice!

at one point thier merch looked like this

after the show it was really fucking cold. we stayed with our friends al and paul, sean was there too so that was cool, he gave me a sneaking listen to the unmixed and unmastered plight debut album - it rocked!

we stayed up drinkng and playing buzz, the t.v. game show on the PS2, it was fun and warm

their housemate nat had a really fluffy rabit

the next show was in bristol, some of our friends from swansea came up to the show so it was great to see them, the show went well we managed to get a bunch of booze somehow and went back to jenks' house to party. during the night one of his housemates fucked with tim and pugs using eggs and shaving foam. that kind of stuff is usually funny, but it is also usually your friends that are fucking with you - we didn't even know this guy. in the morning we decided to seek revenge in the form of brown sauce in a shoe, baked beans under a pillow, vasaline on his door handle, egg on his bike and pugs stole all his beer... duh!

after that we set off to southampton, playing was fun, fake problems and smoke or fire were really awesome - they are even better people than they are bands, it was really cool to become friends with everyone and it sucked to say bye.

thanks to lil for the hook up with the shows

album release show!

so i finally got round to making a poster for our album release show. here it is...

if you bring all 3 10" release show tickets to the show then you get a beautiful, hand screen printed, ltd edition poster for FREE!
spread the word.

recording a bbc session

we were at stir studios in cardiff all day yesterday recording 4 songs for a live session that is going to be played this wednesday (i think) on the bethan elfyn show on radio one.
we got to the studio just after 10 am, we set up and then sat around whilst the studio engineer miked up all of our shit. it was a good while before we actually did anything so to pass the time we sat up stairs, drank a load of coffee and tried to get the playstation to work but with no cigar :(
but hey! - we weren't worried as soon as we realised that channel five was playing 'K-9' what an awesome film! there was a really good bit where james belushi is eating a cream cake and jerry lee manages to get it all over his face - dogs that eat cream cakes are funny i guess.

so eventually we started recording...

richard the producer gave us a headphones mix and off we went. during the first take my headphones kept falling off, this was pretty annoying so miles duck taped them to my head to prevent it happening again.

we recorded 3 of our own songs, a descendents cover and a 10 second radio jingle, it took about half an hour, then we had some food...
after the food, miles started laying down his vocals, meanwhile the rest of us looked at some magazines that were lying around. i found a photo of tim in an old issue of kerrang!

and tim found an old copy of NME with jenks on the cover (what are the chances?..)

miles got through his vocals pretty quickly - so we were done. all we had to do now was wait for richard to give us a mix so we went back upstairs to watch stuff on t.v. matilda was on so we watched that. tim and jenks got the train to bristol to go and see paul gilbert. so me, miles and rhys hung out and ate bowls of weetos which was nice.

the songs came out pretty cool, it was fun to do a descendents cover and a good day! check it out on the radio

y'know stuff...

so this is what has been happening...
we have been trying to get everything sorted out album wise. our good friend joe has kindly been helping out with the design work and layout, we had a sneak preview today and it looks swish, it's kind of a compilation of the artwork associated with the 3 10"s.
the plan is to get the cd out and about in time for our mini tour with smoke or fire and fake problems, that is the 'plan' so watch this space!
if you are in london tonight go and see the computers - it's their album launch party!
that's all for now.
i will stick the smoke or fire dates up later on. oh yeah, i forgot - there is an awesome punk rock show/photography exhibition happening on saturday, check it out...

beers and stuff

thanks very much to everyone that came out to the beers release show last night! we really appreciate everyone coming out and partying down.
special thanks to the computers and the groundnuts who both killed it, and also to owen, kerry and amy who pretty much made the whole night run smoothly.

for your viewing pleasure...

so, all 3 records are now out!
apparently as a collective they sounds similar to "a well made sandwich" (Sanna, Lotty 25.10.08)
i will put a paypal button on our myspace page tomorrow making 'beers' available online, and it will be available from various punk rock boutiques accross the uk by next week;

exist outlet, swansea
damaged records, cardiff
freestyle skatestore, newport
punker bunker, brighton

we are playing on wednesday at tj's, newport and on thursday at the underworld, london with strung out.

for now go and listen to the cutups new song as it is amazing!

beers and other stuff

thanks loads to everyone that made it to the release show last night, we really appreciate that so many people turned up and had fun!
thanks especially to the computers and the groundnuts, who both killed it. thanks to owen, kerry and amy for making sure everything ran smoothly, stu for snapping photos and dave for filming.
(we should be getting the photos off stu by the weekend, i will upload them as and when.)

so, we are really happy to let people know that this has happened...

"We are very excited to announce that THE ARTERIES from Swansea have joined Household Name Records and will be releasing a new album in the very near future....

THE ARTERIES have been impressing us through most of 2008 with stunning live shows - we put them on opening one of the first Staying South nights back in the Spring as a pretty much unknown quantity - less than 25 minutes later everyone was buzzing from their set and begging us to put them on again at the soonest opportunity.

Fast, punchy melodic, metallic gathering up the finest mid 90s Epi-Fat sound of Propagandhi with a twist of bang up to date riffery, we had the guys booked back on the spot and every time they took the audience by storm.

Added to that the band have a great do it yourself ethic - this year they have embarked on a series of three 10" vinyl releases called 'Blood', 'Sweat' and 'Beers' which have been combined with sold out launch parties in Swansea. The final record of the series 'Beers' is launched tomorrrow (Sunday 26th October) at The Monkey Bar.

Household Name Records have worked with THE ARTERIES to put together a CD album based on tracks from all 3 releases...called Blood, Sweat and Beers (HAUS104CD) which will be out at the end of November in time for The Arteries dates with SMOKE OR FIRE....it will be in the shops from January 2009....
but in keeping with THE ARTERIES tradition of launch parties a very limited special edition of 'Blood, Sweat and Beers' CD will be available only at THE ARTERIES Xmas Show/Album Launch at The Monkey Bar on 21st December.

Mike Davies' at the Radio 1 Punk Show played an exclusive new track on his show this week and seemed very impressed....I hope you will be hearing more of The Arteries across the airwaves as they have just recorded a session for Radio Wales"

'beers' midnight sweat shop

so all the 'beers' records arrived yesterday, they clear beer coloured vinyl looks really sweet. but guess what?

- the funcking idiots that work at the covers factory fucked up leaving us without any cardboard sleeves to put the records into, geez - some people suck!

owen came up with a great plan b and rhys and amy went straight to the print lab to experiment with brown paper. they came up with a folding and sticking technique that results in a beautiful brown paper record sleeve (thanks for the help amy!)
after amy had taught myself and lotty how to make the sleeves she went howe to do homework, rhys cut all the paper to size and we cut, folded and stuck until the early hours of this morning (thanks lotty!)

then pugs showed up with milk for tea and helping hands. he drew a flyer for a show that him and trev are putting on with a crab on it.

rhys showed him how to stamp the records and he got down to it (thanks pugs!)

(sorry that this is sideways, i can't be bothered to sort it out)

owen and kerry then came to help too! owen sorted out the screen so that rhys to start screen printing the sleeves that we had been making and kerry wrote 'side a' and 'side b' on all the reocrds (thanks owen and kerry!)
rhys got printing, the ship design came out pretty cool...

rhys continued to print into the very early hours. i went back to the print room this morning. rhys, amy and kerry evans were alreay there numbering the records and putting the inserts into the sleeves. they are still doing it right now, we have to go play in leamington spa tonight with the computers, we are also playing tomorrow night in guildford with the computers so we have pretty much run out of time before the release show. no doubt owen, kerry, kerry evans and amy will tottally save our asses (as usual) and help us out with anything that we don't get done. (thank you so much dudes!!!)

here is a sneak preview of the finished product, it took a lot of work so get into it!

you get all this lovely shit for FREE if you have a ticket at the show on sunday, so go get a ticket if you don't have one already!
there are some left in the exist shop, if you buy one online off our myspace page you can pick it up off the door on sunday...

in-fest 2008

we played peterborough last night with a bunch of good bands, we had to leave early though because of the long drive home, which made us miss the don ramos players set - that was a shame!
we partied pretty hard in the van on the way home, tim bought a bunch of booze from asda (thanks tim) just before we left. he pretty much bought the ingredients for sangria which meant that we were drinking pretty much sangria, that was cool.
miles bought whipped cream and squirted it all over his face, it was pretty intense! jenks squirted it all over his body and tim licked it off, i think.
we listened to bruce willis, the spotnicks, and blink 182, the cutups and more, it was fun to sing along. the most amazing thing happened - jenks had a piss and it was 1200 ml in volume, smashing the previous van record of 900 ml - holy smokes!

i had a bunch of cool photos documenting all this but ended up breaking my phone, so you will have to use your imagination.

thanks to shaun for putting us on, the don ramos players for being cool guys, tim for buying the booze and miles for driving all the way home!

recording beers DAY 4

sunday august 10th

we got to the studio at 10am, jenks was late.
tim started to mix the songs, so we listened up and gave our opinions.

at one point miles looked like this...

we looked at cool stuff on the internet quite a lot. there are some cool videos on youtube of baby pandas.

we went and got lunch at about half one, most of us ate chicago town pizza's. tim bought a bunch of ingredients to make sangria later on at sarah's house.

after lunch we tim only had one more new song to mix, so we cracked one with that. when we recorded 'blood' and 'sweat' we only had a half a day to get the mixes done, we booked a full day today so that we have enough time to put the album together once 'beers' is done. we are putting four songs off each 10" on the album along with one bonus track that isn't on any of them.

jenks put his camera on a chair and tried taking a 'band photo'

we looked dumb so he gave up and the rest of us watched judas priest videos on youtube

after that we decided on a track listing for the album and sorted out all the gaps in between the songs. then girl school arrived to talk with tim about recording a song for a compilation the next day. jon slowdance probably would be really jealous that we got to meet them.

we got all the gaps and transitions sorted and got ready to listen to it on the big speakers the whole way through we were pretty excited to hear it.
just before tim pressed play, pugs dropped in with a bottle of champagne - what a good dude!

so, the album is done - sweet!
the 'beers' 10" is out on october 26th and the full album will be out in december. we will put a song off 'beers' on our myspage page soon.

recording beers DAY 3

saturday august 9th

i worked late last night so i was sleepy as hell when i got to the studio. miles was already there when i arrived tracking vocals. he had just about finished one song, 'three cats.'

he was killing it so i decided to try and get some sleep.

miles sang another song and then jenks arrived, i woke up a bit and sat around saying stuff like, 'great take' and 'wowza' so he could hear it through his head phones. he was going nuts, he shouted his balls off!

we stopped for lunch, it was raining out so we didnt want to walk to the shop. luckily i brought some macaroni cheese the day before and put it in the fridge. it was highly enjoyable, tim put an aerosmith dvd on so we watched that for a bit. it was cool as ten, at one point steven tyler
was wearing a gonz vest, rad!

steven tyler is one gnarley dude, everything he said was a metaphor for writing a sweet song. he also said this,

"the difference between us old folks and all these new young bands is, all the young bands are into jerking off, whilst we are into fucking!"

its not by choice but its pretty much the opposite for us guys.

miles ate a big sausage pizza...

after that he finished off his vocal parts and i started my backing vocals, i don't like recording vocals i get really nervous and fuck my throat up quicker than i should.

jenks put some space age glasses on and that distracted me, making the nerves go away. it also distracted tim and shit got a bit carried away, future style...

jenks got pretty into it and decided to leave the studio for a new life in outer space.

we finished up all the shit, it sounds pretty sweet, we are going to mix it tomorrow.

recording beers DAY 2

friday august 8th

i got to the studio a bit late because i was lazy and stayed in bed too long, when i got there the other guys were already hanging out and tim was recording his guitar parts, he had done 2 songs by the time i got there (and i wasn't that late)
- he was on fire!

rhys worked late the night before so he pretty much did this all day...

tim finished off his guitar parts and then we had lunch, no wait. we had lunch then tim finished off his guitar parts. i had 2 four cheese Chicago town pizzas, they were pretty good, you know pretty good - no macaroni cheese though.
so, once tim finished and started playing guns and roses riffs, someone unplugged him and jenks started recording his parts.

some metal dude came in when he heard jenks

me and tim looked at cool shit on the internet whilst jenks was playing.
tim has quit smoking so he needs to keep his hands busy, he pretended to smoke some spider man, sugar sticks.

spider man is cool, smoking isnt!

i had to leave for work before the end of the day, jenks wa s almost done when i left. he finished before the end of the day, i saw rhys in work and he told me that jenks was pretty amped to finish.

'beers' is sounding cool, its pretty heavy

Friday, 8 August 2008

recording beers DAY 1

thursday august 7th

we got to the studio at 10am, we drank a bunch of coffee then rhys set up his drums. i set up my bass shit, meanwhile tim (the producer) set up all the mics, tim is awesome!
we started recording bass and drums at about mid day, we did a few songs then went for lunch. i got macaronis cheese from co-op and put it in the microwave, tim showed us some funny stuff on the internet, some of it was gross.

we recorded the rest of the bass and drums, it was pretty intense.

we recorded six songs, one of them will be on the album and not on 'beers.'

rhys looked pretty cool once he nailed his drums.

tim, miles and jenks sat around talking about cats and moustaches, it was pretty intense.
